How About Creating a Build Section?

Post by Darryl Young »

What would you think about adding a build section to our portfolio? I've seen a few build threads and they really don't fit under the current catagories too well. This way we could keep the questions on "how to" etc. uncluttered in the existing areas. I really enjoy seeing how everyone does their builds and I always learn something or see a twist on another way to do something. Who knows, maybe John, Ken, and RD would each do a build thread and we could really learn something! With that said, I learn plenty from the other folks here.......and I just enjoy reading these threads and looking at the pics even if I learned nothing. If nothing else we could turn the "Show It Off" section into a build section and you could either show the finished instrument or document the entire build.

Thoughts?

So are we talking here, like our own little blog of our build that we would continue to add to so everyone would be privy to all our mistakes?? :>)

The more I think about it, the better I like it. One of the hardest thigns for me over the last two years has been updating my website as I go along. This would be far more simple, and then I can update my site when the project is complete or whenever I feel like it. Good idea!

So, my big brother was playing guitar and I figured I'd try it too.

i love the idea. it would likewise be cool if the ongoing project threads could be moved there.
