I like the look of the true oil on the oak, I was out looking for some today without luck for my violin neck. It looks great on the your red oak guitar. How long before you can string it up?

I will be letting it cure until Friday, then after levelling etc , should be ready to glue on the bridge, make the saddle and gi-de-up. So a week and half or so.
I'm very interested in how it will sound.

What "brand" of wood did you use for the top? Is there a certain type of wood that is best to use with oak or does it matter not?
