Watching Paint Dry....

Post by Bruce Dow »

The electric kit is quilted maple. Target coatings... HSF1000 filler, followed by EM6000 coats.

The mandolin kit beside it is a complete SNAFU... I sanded thru the paper-thin plywood veneer trying to get the darned thing leveled.... hence the black lacquer.

In a couple of weeks, we'll buff them out and see how they look.

Lots of spraying activity going on now! Must be the weather! Winter projects finally complete and weather cooperating enough to spray.

The electric looks nice, Bruce! Should look great all buffed out and with hardware! I am at the same point as you. I just shot the last coat of EM6000 on my guitar and now have to wait for the finish to cure.

Thanks, all, for the kind words.

The lake will be thawing soon, so I'll soon be moving back to a few projects on my boat to get it ready for the season.

But I should have the electric buffed out and fitted up before then.
