Will tape - the blue painter's tape, or the stewmac binding tape, or masking tape for that matter - leave a residue on the wood, enough to be concerned about?
I have not had a problem, but I will be leaving some tape on a side piece for a couple of weeks and thought I'd better run it up the flag pole first.
Thanks

Re: Tape question
when in doubt seal with shellac , you can always remove the shellac and get back to bare wood without sanding.

John - to remove the shellac without sanding, do you just wipe with denatured alcohol?tippie53 wrote:when in doubt seal with shellac , you can always remove the shellac and get back to bare wood without sanding.
