I needed to make a rosewood bridge for my Jumbo guitar so I got out my bridge blanks, template and set up my saddle slotting setup.
I last made bridge blanks at least 10 years ago and made at least a dozen or more in ebony, Indian rosewood, walnut and olive wood.
I use a template that has pin location and slot location and mark these and trace the shape, then cut out with bandsaw and finish with the disk and oscillating drum sander. Then the blank can go into the jig mounted in a cross vise on the drill press with a 1/8" dremel type down cut bit.
I made 6 bridges, all the blanks I had left this time.
Two EIR, one Madagascar rosewood, 1 black Indian ebony
and two black with tan stripes.
I'll show a pic after all the pin jokes are drilled.
