Kevin,

I really enjoyed your series on this build, and it's inspiring. I like the idea of a bolt down fretboard extension. A beautiful instrument.

I did some flat sanding on the past weekend and needed to fill some gaps along the side purfling, so I wound up spraying 6 more coats. So I ended up with what I usually do which is about 16 coats.
Looks good now so I'll sand and buff in about a week

The guitar finish is buffed out and I'm gluing down the bridge.

The finish turned out pretty good. The back and sides look flat and smooth/shiny, but the top shows "ripples" even though I flat sanded up the grits from 600, 800, 1000, 1500.
I used a large eraser as the sanding block this time, perhaps that was the culprit although ive done it before and not had this result.
I also use a wood block with leather surface for my wet sanding but didn't this time. Hmmm!
