Been a while since I posted an update. I’ve been going at it trying to get one of these done for a friend. Here’s where I’m at. Getting close. Starting to do finish work now.

Plenty of issues along the way, but figuring things out and trying to learn. One example – while I was filing the fret ends on one of them, the file slipped and put some scratches on the top of some frets. I didn’t realize how bad it was until after I leveled, crowned and polished the frets. So, I had to learn how to modify a little nipper and remove 6 frets. A bit of a detour, but now I know 1) how to remove frets and 1) to be more careful.
