Hofner-clone "Beatle Bass" kit from Bargain Musician

Well done! I think that the Saga kit was identical to mine. Folks reading this might want to know that I had to do a neck reset to lower the action, and I was very happy that I used a bolt-on neck configuration instead of gluing it in. What made it easy are the violin shims available from International Violin. All I had to do was trim the shim to the recess of the guitar neck. Easy Peasy, no gluing required.

I'm thinking now of replacing the pickups and the control panel with the genuine ones from Hofner. They're pretty pricy, though, and I was wondering if they're worth the money. My experience with anything bot piezo pickups is zero.
