Hi everyone,
I'm Gary from Southwick, MA and I'm partway thru my first build with a Martin kit right now. I'm a long time player and woodworker but patience and fine detail have never been my strong points so it will be a challenge, but I'm pretty psyched to try to have a good playing and sounding instrument when I'm done.
I attended the Woodstock luthiers invitational last week and bought some wood from the guys involved with running this forum, so I'm glad to be here!

Hi Gary. I think I've quoted this here before, but I'll offer it again.
"The Secret of the Old Master"
There is no secret, except knowing what good work is, and taking the time to do it that way.
"Knowing what good work is" involves knowing how to do it, and this forum can help with that.
