fretboard and body pearl tutorial

Post by tippie53 »

I did this fretboard and I just set up a stop on my inlay base you can do this with and inlay tool just clamp something to establish a stop. When you get to the corners you will just take your time and cut the sides and bottom in. A sharp exacto knife can clear the outside corner for you.

the body was done in the typical style. We did this a little differently than the typical 45 style. We more copied off the rosette , using wood purfling in combination with the plastic. This is take right after we set the pearl. I will update the process as we can. It had to get finish sanded and finished.

John, are you going to do a video on this? I like the look of the fingerboard -- very nice!
