Truss rod rattle?

Ive glued on and fretted the fingerboard and am finalising the neck joint on a D28 kit. The truss rod is a Martin plastic wrapped 2-way and well glued in with titebond, but when I tap rhe neck it has a bit of a rattle. There is no tension on the truss rod yet as I want the neck flat, so would that rattle disappear when the neck is under string tension? Thanks, Dave

yes it should you snug it a bit you should be find.
