Brand names?

Hey So I've been building kits for awhile now with upgraded pickups and hardware, custom nitro finishes etc . I think they're quite well made at this point and I've been interested in selling them. My question is if I were to put a brand name on them ( ie my own brand not fender or Gibson something) would this be infringing on some kind of copyright because the wood came from a guitar kit by another manufacturer?
