Completed my first kit
I think I will call this a successful build. I made my share of mistakes, most of which I will be the only one to notice. We tend to be our own worst critics, right? The aerosol lacquer turned out great. Once I buffed it out with"flaw enhancing" compound, the surface looked perfect with only a few spots around the purfling and binding.
I've never been in a luthier's shop. Thanks to all of those who have done the youtube videos and posted on this forum.
Number two arrived by UPS yesterday.

It sounds great! I will say that, even on #001, I'm a better builder than player. I still have some adjustment to the action that I plan to finish tomorrow. The nut files and gauge just arrived yesterday. Will the tool purchases ever end?
This one came from StewMac. #002 is a Martin Kit from Blues Creek.
