finally finished and it came out much better than I thought. The action is LOW 2/32 on the bass 3/64 on the treble and no buzz.
I am sold on setting the fretboard on the guitar.

here it is and thanks for the interest.

Nice!

On my last guitar, I flattened the fret board dead flat on the guitar. After the fretting, the frets were dead flat as well. When I strung up the guitar, the neck pulled forward just a bit such that I had a slight rise in the extension. My base strings needed to be a bit higher to avoid buzzing about .1. At .1 I could play all the notes on the fret board no problem, a bit lower I had slight buzzes playing 12th and 13th fret.

Do you include a bit of fall off in the extension or are you guitars built such that the necks do not pull forward a bit under tension?

the neck will pull up and with a truss rod adjustment you should be fine. If the extension rose you may have something else , RH rise ? The upper bouts on my guitars are flat. Yes they will move a touch but you will find by setting relief on the neck you can work the action .
The key point to think about is the line of the fret to the saddle. As long as the angles are right you can make the adjustments.
Relief action .
The guitars are setting up on a 1 1/2 - 2 action for me since I started this method. A heavy picker will have to whack the crap to get them to buzz.

what was the relief ?

I am pretty sure it was the neck come forward, with no strings the neck and extension are flat.
Right now the relief is right about .010" at the 6th fret. I will play with it a bit.

John , With the action that low, how much saddle do you have showing...?

I usually like my action at 5/64 low E & 4/64 high e. With that, I have an 1/8" saddle showing at present w/ good break angle. String height off the board at middle of bridge - to bottom of strings is 15/32". Relief is set at .004".

Before I glue the neck down on the Redwood OMC I built, I'm wondering if I should give it slightly more angle...
