Re: # 175 and 176 another class and one for MFG
Just finished the class yesterday and will be posting more pictures soon. When you build a guitar in a class you want to do the hard things.
Steve has been to my shop on a number of occasions . He just finished a new shop and after a 2 year break wants to start building again. He will also be hosting the open house on the 1st weekend in June. I hope to see some of you there.
He built a 1937 style dred with a 40 style appointments. The pearl is simple but elegant. I also built a very similar design on a BRw 000-12 with a 3 piece back. This is a special piece of wood and came from the 1st BRW plank I ever sawed. My top was on the shelve since 2003.
Watch for the pictures.

After a week the 2 guitars are ready for finish. We did a little pearl on them . Also the headstock veneer of Steve's was taken from the scrap bin , we book matched it at an angle and I cut and inlaid the old Martin torch. For Mine I did a small vine and logo. They are both forward shift BRW adi top. Pearl rosettes and on Steve's he did a bound fretboard . We used dark tortoise for the position dots.

John, a couple of beauties, again!
Could you show us how YOU do a slotted headstock?
I am going to be doing my first in a couple of months for my nylon string crossover.
Thanks.
