Actually I think I prefer it that way, just seems to make more sense to me, wide at the bottom, narrow at the top...I like it.

Most guitars in Australia are done that way...

When I installed one narrow in the front, I went back and forth with my rational about the right way to do it. Narrow in the front is like an arrow or an airplane. aerodynamic anyway; a pretty normal look. Wide in the front matches the line of classical shaped neck. Either works fine.
