Walnut redwood OM

Post by SKBarbour »

Wanted to take some good pics. I realized I'm not much of a photographer. Here's what I came up with.
The specs are
Walnut back and sides
Curly redwood top
Koa binding
Abalone shell where you see it
Ebony fretboard and head plate
Walnut bridge
Mahogany bolt on neck
French polished finished

Had a lot of fun with this one. Tried some new things like the cut away and using a curly redwood top. I think the next one will be much more simplified.

That dark purfling adds a touch of flare. I may have to borrow that design detail. Nice indeed.

Just a beautiful job on that guitar, great top! What is the tone like with that combination of woods? Congratulations on a stunner.

Thanks guys! It's sounds quite good to my ear. A little more sustain than my previous guitars, not sure what to attribute that to, wood choice or bracing or a combination.

Perhaps that's because you used sustainable wood species??

Sorry 'bout that... I have snow on the brain.
Coldest and snowiest in the Northeast since God knows when.

Hey Kyle, can you do some closer-up photos of the peghead and rosette??
