Number one and two

When I started with a OOO Kit from StewMac half a year ago, I was not sure if was a good idea me never having built anything from wood. But it turns out it´s getting hard to stop. I just finished the second one, now a classical guitar based on the cincia plans by Liutaio Mottola. To be honest, I didn´t trust myself to this time to make almost everything on my own and started not with the rosewood/cedar combination but went to a guy who sells tonewood and bought a cheap spruce top and a mahogany bottom. Sides I still had some which originally were sold as practise wood for bending (9€ for three sets at madinter.com). As this guitar was just meant to practise and to see how to prevent mistakes for the "good" wood I never expected too much of this guitar. Especially when for the first time I did almost everything on my own:bending the sides (never did it before, so I decided to build a foxbender), cutting spruce for the bracing, building sanding dishes, binding router jig and so on. (I think it took longer to build the tools for guitar building than the building itself.) But after finishing the "practice" guitar I was really surprised. In my opinion it looks nice and even better: it sounds nice. The results gaveme enough confidence to start with the rosewood and cedar combination. Ok, said enough, I think it´s time for some pictures.

They look very nice Jack. Would that be a fox?

Yepp. Most of the time it was identified as a jumping lion or puma. But for me it was always clear that it looks like a fox hunting for mice.
