j200 Side length?

Post by Dan Bombliss »

Hey all,

For the life of me I can't remember how long a j200 side is from center line to center line, and scoped out my plans to try to find something on it, but nothing. Only way I can find out right now is to build the mold, and measure it, but I was looking for a quicker answer :P

Anyone know what the length of a j200 side is, center line to center line?

Thanks,
Dan

Just built 3. Don't remember exact but about 33". I can get you the exact but recommend going a little longer. Don't ask how I know. Thought I could do it exact and came out 1/4 short on 2 bindings

if you have a mold you can apply tape to the one side of the mold and mark or cut it at the joint , pull off and measure.
Not 100% sure but I agree 33 is in the ball park.

I was bending sides for a customer, but hand not build the mold yet. Wanted to make sure my wood would work, and that I had sawn it from a billet long enough to suit that set.

With out a physical mold in hand, it is difficult to measure on the drawings. Was hoping some had a number, but no worries, I just went well on the long side, and it was alright.
