Sunken Sound board
I completed building my hd-28 kit body about 3 weeks ago now, and yesterday I noticed, while fitting the neck, when I ran my hand over the face of the soundboard, I could feel the braces from the under side. Then I put a straight edge between the sound hole and the tail block, the radius had gone out the top and a 1/16" gap showed that the sound board had sunken. I remember the top being correct after I put the top on. Will this all come back into shape when I string it up, or have I created a disaster for myself? John A

Re: Sunken Sound board
sounds like your may have a humidity issue. What is the RH there? You want to keep this about 45% to 55% RH. Get a humidifier for the shop.

Re: Sunken Sound board
Hi John, the rh for this time of year is about 50%. It was on Sunday when I noticed it. It was freezing, about 50degres F. I was working in the sun fitting the neck trying to keep warm. What do you think I should do? Thanks for any advice.
