Hello
I'm a music teacher near Annapolis Maryland. I started getting interested in guitar building this year, so I bought Mr. Cory's first book, and will probably buy the Martin version too. I've been busy setting up my work room and acquiring tools before I order the kit which I will probably do next week. I have a small 8' by 6' room in my basement with a workbench which I hope will be sufficient!
Can't wait to get started! I think I have settled on one of the cheaper laminate Martin kits, mainly because I can't break the bank on this hobby just yet.
If anyone has suggestions for getting started, I'm all ears!

Re: Hello
Hello mm and welcome. Before you make that purchase, verify that the parts Martin sells to the general public are 'factory seconds.' Many of the guys who are members can verify whether that is true or not.

Hi MM and welcome. Bill's books are very helpful when you are starting out, I highly recommend them.
Do you have a name so we don't have to call you MM?
