Re: Rebuild of Ruined 000
Hey Friends -- I DID finish the guitar, and sorry to say I haven't been around here to show it to you guys for awhile, due to life's various demands.
My daughter (22) left for Africa today for three months in Mozambique and Nepal; up until now, a lot of time has been spent helping her get ready to go, holding my sweet wife's hand, etc.
But, not, with more time on my hands ... I'm back.
The finished guitar is shown below. I really like it. With the new Stewmac neck and a cedar top from LMII, it works pretty well. I narrowed the neck from the original guitar's 1.875 down to 1.8125. The only other thing was to use a portion of the original top as a laminate on the pegboard.
It's not beautiful, but it's restored. (Still haven't replaced the tail peg!)

Thanks guys! This place is just as friendly as ever, I'm happy to see.
Yep, that's the one that I fell on top of. It plays pretty well, and some day I will replace that tail peg!
I know ... I'm slow. :)

I didn't want to change your forum Bill just preserve it. Thanks for that opportunity. The team that runs this is mostly Tommy , he is my right hand , without him I would be lost. Jimmie Hall and Sean Large also help a lot.
I am proud to be part of this. I never wanted to turn it into a commercial for blues creek I want to see good information and involvement of the members. To all a big THANK YOU.
