Re: Martin D 18 Resoration
Okay this is the text and I will explain the process. This fretboard had some major fingernail divots. The frets are out and I have a dead straight neck. The slots do vary a bit and I have a few different sized fret tangs ranging from .0185 to .0285 this allows me to influence the neck bow .

Re: Martin D 18 Resoration
here are the tools that I will use A fretting hammer , nippers files and calipers. I start placing the frets and I will infuse tite bond into the fret slot to lubricate and then harden the wood end fibers . I stated with .0245 tang at a few points up the neck and then watch the neck as it the compressions takes place . I am looking for a dead straight neck or a fall off of about .007 from the 7th fret to the nut

Re: Martin D 18 Resoration
After I get the neck to go where I need it , I can finish fretting with .0225 tangs and then rough dress the fret ends and clean up the fret board.
