Getting ready to spray Nitro

I finally bought my first spray gun, a QualSpray 125WB. Thanks for the recommendation Tim B
So here is my first of many questions. I plan to shoot 3 coats a day, around 1 hr apart. What do I do with the gun between coats. Let it sit or clean it out completely between each coat.

I have the same gun and really like it. I use water base so I clean it each and every time but it is easy to clean with water. Not sure about Nitro. Make sure you are venting the fumes, we recently had a home blow in Seattle where some finish fumes work their way to a pilot lamp.

I clean the nozzle and needle tip between coats and at the end of the day pour the remainder back in the can and clean the gun and cup with lacquer thinner. When I'm done spraying the guitar, I tear the whole gun apart and do a thorough cleaning.

With Nitro I routinely just let mine set in between spray sessions with out doing anything other than putting it in the stand. When I come in to spray again I run a pattern on a test panel, that blows any dried stuff out as it readily dissolves when the fresh material goes through. At the end of the day I will remove my cup and run a bit of thinner through the gun (I use a sealed cup system that can be removed and the material left in it). Maybe wipe the air horns off but if you are spraying correctly there should not be any build up there. If there is you are most likely to close to the surface for your tip, needle and pattern. I only break down and clean when needed which is seldom with nitro. Any water based or other poly is a whole different routine.

Thanks all, I did shoot some lacquer in the past and from what I remember we did just sit the gun down between coats.
We also just left the lacquer in the cup and covered it. We did use the siphon feed guns however, the one I have now is gravity.
