Well its never actually required, as long as you don't mind seeing the pores. I would fill them myself.
You never know what you are capable of until you actually try....

Yeah, I guess required wasn't really the word I meant. I have heard that Honduran Rosewood doesn't need to be pore filled like Mahogany or EIR. But it appears to have pores that need filling to me so I was curious what others that have worked with it have done. This is my first time with HR.

My general rule is if I can see pores after I spray the sealer, I fill them.
You never know what you are capable of until you actually try....

the only 2 woods I don't fill are maple and cherry.
That goes without saying you never fill spruce.
