I have an LMI bending machine and have used it successfully, but the current version has no ability to bend a cutaway. Even though I managed to bend the sides by hand for the 17" archtop on which I'm currently working, I decided to make a modified setup for bending cutaways on the LMI Bending Machine. It is very simple, so I'm not watching the mailbox for my Nobel prize, but it works really well (at least on the curly maple I have been bending).
