Alternative Way to Hunt.......
Here is how to pass the time in your deer stand!
It was windy, windy, windy......and warm. Neither good for hunting........so I passed the time reading Trevor Gore's new book on guitar design. this book is amazing! I highly recommend it to any technical person wanting to improve their sound or copy the tone of another guitar they like. Just like a college text book (an engineering manual). So I read about about guitar building while waiting for the next victim of my custom, featherweight 260 Ackley Improved rifle.......

Darryl, You've inspired me!
Deer season begins here in N.E. PA next week and I've already revising my first day, hunting pack contents. Coffee, sandwich, candy bar, ammo, educational luthier materials... you know, the usual!!!

I was raised in a family who practices falconry (using hawks or falcons to hunt) so I'm not sure about reading while hunting. Especially if you happen to end up between a squirrel and the hawk. With kids in the house sometimes it would be nice to have a deer stand to retreat to.

Darryl, I just want you to know that you just put me through a brief spell of absolute utter pain, catching up on all of the posts that I missed during my eleven day hospital stretch, to see a photo of a book entitled "Contemporary Acoustic Guitar Design and Build" posed next to a modern high powered killing machine adorned with a massive scope was just too much, I went into an uncontrollable fit of laughter that sent my pain levels off the chart due to my recent surgery. That picture just ain't right!
BTW, thanks, I really needed that!
