I'm baaaaaaack.....in the shop!
Well it has been a wonderful summer having my daughter and her family (husband and 4 grandkids) with us from India. Sammy is the one who got the Cocobolo dred. We have lots of great memories to carry us through until we are all together again in a year or two we hope. They fly out of LAX this afternoon for a grueling 50 plus hours of travel, plus a loss of 12 hours time, which means they arrive at their home Friday their time. Yes, it is as bad as it sounds. Talk about Jet Lag. I have been pretty busy with the kids so haven't even been able to keep up with the posts here, so I have some catching up to do on the forum as well.
I have not been in the shop since July 26 and I am so looking forward to getting back to it with the walnut and redwood OM already started. Everytime I walk past the mold with the rims and back sitting there I just want to go over and touch it. :>) I have a little clean up to do after the wood and paint projects that happened with my two grandsons, and then on Saturday I should be able to do a work a little bit.
So I just wanted to share that with you all, and I should be posting some pics again pretty soon. I am ready to fit and glue on the back, and start the rosette on the top, which I haven't decided exactly yet what I'm going to do, however it will be simple, either Koa or Walnut, or a combination of the two. More to come...........

Hey Kevin -- I'm back in the shop too! I don't know that I would be if not for your continuing encouragement over the last few years. Thanks, Brother, for that! (I put up a post about the rebuidlingof the ruined 000 above.
