Stay dry! Here in Chicago (North side...Wilmette) a few weeks ago we had a record rainfall of 8" in 45 minutes! First time I flooded my basement in 3 years, after doing extensive work on dranage and pumps. Water was rising on the driveway and running down the stairs faster than the pumps could work. Good luck, hopefully things willt aper off soon.

So, my big brother was playing guitar and I figured I'd try it too.

Wow John, any fish in that stream?
We barely get 8 inches a year out here in central California.
Glad you are high and dry.

The town I work in was hit by a tornado a couple of weekends ago. Fortunately, it stopped a couple of miles from the town where i live. Pretty strange experience for someone that has only ever seen one on TV before.

That is definitely a lot of rain. It's about 40% of our annual total up here in rainy Seattle. Of course we like to spread it out over about nine months or so. :D
