Re: Project - ideas needed
The good news is that since I don't hurt myself too hard at any one time I am able to recover quickly and am then (within a relatively short period of time) I am healed and hopefully able to endure another round of pain (however small it may be). I really like the idea (from Dave B) about possibly raising enough funds to purchase cases for these guitars, I see a lot of benefit in this as it will help protect the guitars during shipping (and at the risk of assuming) will be the delivery method of these guitars (please correct me if I'm wrong), also once the guitars are delivered, by keeping then in cases will help to keep the guitars in good shape, extend thier life and ultimately benefit many more clients/patients over the long run. I would also like to encourage people to donate, however litte it may seem to be as we all know a bunch of nickels add up to several dollars rather quickly, and remember, if you may feel embarresed because you might not be able to donate $1000 dollars, donations can be made anonymously! Thanks Dave B!

A big box of body lumber was delivered today from Ken Cierp. Thanks to you, Ken!
Includes back and side lumber, kerfing, bracing etc. It all looks good.
I think that other than the elusive black fiber binding, this shipment ties up the project as far as materials! What a generous bunch of people, I'm proud to be associated with you.
I'll keep you all posted when I get started. It's going to be tempting to do 3 at a time...

I cannot get everything into one picture. Here's a few pix of the variegated Walnut B+S and the sitka and englemann tops from Ken Cierp at KMG.
I will photo the other donated materials as I go along, I just happened to have this box in the house at the moment.
Thanks again everyone.

Dave,
What is your time line for completing these? I haven't gotten started on any designs for the labels yet and I'd like to have a few designs done with plenty of time to vote on them.

Sean, since I now have everything I need, I'd say...........about a week.
Just kidding. Probably a few months.

Re: Project - ideas needed
Thanks Dave,
I had just read a post you made about it being tempting to build them side by side and I thought I'd better ask, 'cause really you could probably do it in a week depending on circumstances. I haven't given the labels much thought yet. I think I'll try some brain storming over the weekend.
