PRS Birds

Post by mike789166 »

Hi all, I wonder if anyone has any drawings of the birds used on PRS guitars? My friend wants me to do some inlay work for him. He has a PRS rosewood fretboard but would like to change it to ebony with the bird inlays. I looked on the PRS website and it seems they use epoxy to glue the fretboard to the neck. Will this release with heat or do I have to plane off the old fretboard? Thanks in advance

Maybe you could build a guitar for your friend with everything he wants and he could either keep or sell the PRS? just saying

Some epoxies release better than others. This will be a hard one to call . Call PRS and I am sure they may be able to advise you.
