Re: The OO project -- Done!
This is doubly successful - you've produced a beautiful instrument, and you answered your own question of only a few months ago: "Should I make another guitar?" Congratulations! Bruce W.
P.S. - looking forward to hearing some sound clips . . .

Here it is with the pick guard. I used StewMac's "Tortoloid" material. It's good, but the price of $48.69 for a piece barely big enough to get that pick guard out of rather astonished me. If Jud hadn't specifically asked for a tortoise shell pick guard I would have done something else. (But it DOES look nice....)
Jud is coming to pick it up on the 28th (in theory) so I hope I'll have some sound samples after that.

It does look good! I believe those pickguards were being handmade for SM by Canadian luthier Mario Proulx. I looked into getting one from him directly but never pursued it. His website now looks pretty quiet.

Jud got to see it today. He was blown away by Diane's fingerboard inlay job. He unfortunately found a couple of buzzing frets (he plays harder than I do) so I've got to fix those before he takes it.
Here's a bit of a sound sample.
