Splitting cedar for a top

Not sure what you have going on but looks like you were able to split a sawn board (?) and you can't beat that as a test for runout.

Well, it split in a very promising way along one edge of the board, but blew out badly on the other edge. Not so good for guitars, but it will make nice kindling.
