Show off your shop
Show off your shop
To piggyback off Martins post, I am looking for ideas on how to best use my available work space for my first guitar build. Post pics of your work space (or lack thereof!). I have seen some very clever ideas on the web. Curious what you guys have.

John,
You have entirely too much stuff. I will bring a truck and trailer and help you clean that mess up!
Let me know a time that is convenient for you,
Regards,
Steve ;)

Re: Show off your shop
BTW John, I visited the shop of your friend Jim Hall in Columbia, SC two weeks ago. Very nice and helpful & speaks highly of you. He has a nice setup in a 16x20 space. Maybe he will post pics, I already have plenty!

His shop is too clean. I need to take some saw dust to spread around . Jimmie and I became friends a few years back and as he puts it , we are identical cousins . He is a nice guy to say the least . Must be the name , LOL

Re: Show off your shop
John Hall looks like a great guy......and acts like a great guy......but beware the axe hanging from the shop rafters!!! Must be for those "contraary" builds.......or something.......
I have a nice "shop" space about 24'x30' give or take with a concrete floor. The building existed when I bought the place and had a gravel floor so I had the concrete poured. The downside: tin walls with a gap between the wall and tin roof (that is filled in with wire mesh to keep birds out) so it is impossible to insulate.......or heat.......or cool.......or control humidity. Also, the electrical is hung off the breaker box in my home and it doesn't have 220V. The wire is insufficiently sized so the lights dim almost out when I flip the switch on my table saw. So I'm still stuck doing many things inside the house.
