I have the strings on my first build, I completed it this past week end. How long should I wait before I really zero in the saddle and the nut to get the action where I want it?
It is staying in tune and nothing is moving. It has an amazing sound! I still can not believe that I built it!
Thanks,
Benjy
I am contemplating number 2!!! Ha! Ha! My wife is going to kill me!

Re: How long before final set up?
I allow about a week and do the final set up. You may see it will need a tweak or two through the first year . It is not uncommon for a winter and summer saddle.

Hello John and All.
I hope all is well. John, interesting point, winter and summer saddles... I had to really shave down the saddle on Willie's (and Mark's for that matter) guitar saddle (build No. 1 and No. 4) on about November/December... Please tell me that the "summer" saddle (increased humidity in summer months) will be taller than the "winter" saddle... Thanks for your help.
Sincerely,
Rich
