Okay, I got a Gator case for a classical, and my OM body did not fit at all....the waist was in the wrong place, and the body is too long.

So, I sent it back, and I purchased a SKB 000 case. The body fits, but is very very snug. I was wondering if a guy can "compress" the padding inside a bit, maybe with a shaped block of wood and a hammer tapping it to open up the inside a bit. Has anyone done something like this, or do you have another suggestion? It is a nice travel case, and I want to use it if possible. It has the TSA approved lock on it and this guitar is going to live in England when it is done.

I have seen Martin use a rubber mallet to adjust a case .

I considered the chainsaw, but didn't like the thought of rough edges.

Ah, a mallet.....so my contoured block idea might work fine. I will try that once the guitar is completed.
