Happy Thanksgiving
I have so much to be thankful for. Very thankful that last week the orthopedic surgeon dismissed my daughter from further therapy as her hand/arm is 90-95% normal! I'm thankful to be able to spend today with family. Thankful I have a job. Thankful for friends and my church family. Thankful my wife puts up with an idiot like me.
A lighter note, but I'm thankful for the ones on this site that are willing to share their luthier knowledge. I sure enjoy the little bit of time I get to enjoy this hobby.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving
Today was a wonderful day . I did some serious recliner riding. This may seem like an easy task for the untrained but it isn't . There is planning involved . Are the batteries fresh in the remote , is the cat on the recliner , is there a proper amount of cold beverage available .
At least 2 rolls of toilet paper in the john and in reach , Phone off the hook , slippers not too tight and not too loose. Feet warm , and pillow just right . With all this , I am tired just thinkin about it and must go check out the recliner , I think the cat is done with it now.
PS check for cat toys before sitting.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving
I am the extended family cook, so I have a major build going on. But my three pies are finished, the stuffing is finished, the gravy is being kept warm, the potatoes and sweet potatoes are peeled ready to cook and the turkey has about a half an hour to go. My duaghter made cranberry sauce this morning and I have the green beans and brussel sprouts preped. Family showes up in about an hour, so I get a slight break before finishing.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Happy Thanksgiving
The first year in quite a while that me and the Mrs. did not do the cooking and entertaining. We went to her brother's place and most of the family was there, and a good time had. I can only take so much time at the table with 15 people and kids talking wildly, so I quietly excused myself (the family is used to this) and sat by the fire in a truly comfortable large chair, turned on a reading light, grabbed a book and went right to sleep. It's always a comfort hearing the babbling of happy voices off in the distance as I nod off. But they do not have cats - well, nobody is perfect. :-)

Re: Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to all, belated too! We shared the day at my wife's place in the country; he farms and raises 100,000 chickens at a time. Shared in the food prep and the eating and had a great time. We were there 12 hours and didn't get home until after 11pm last night. I'm at the office today, but may get to leave early.
