I've got a request into Sean about the pm's. My cache is clear so I should be getting them, but I'm not.

Roger that on the PM's.

I went back to the first post to see if it was the top or back that had the issue. If it were the back, no problem. Make a wedge. But with the top, its not possible at this stage. If you angle the top, it will completely mess with your neck, fretboard, etc. There is no way.
However, since you only really need to replace .25" of side material, not the full 1/2 inch, since you will route off .25" when doing the binding, you should not have much trouble. You will need to square up the broken edges first.
Then, find a suitable piece of rosewood to put in. Add a veneer behind the new RW piece to make it secure and viola! Repair done. I am sure someone would donate a suitable piece of RW if you post a good, clear shot so we can see the darn wood! I dont have any rosewood, so I cant donate anything, but John, Ken, Rick Davis, etc, etc, would all have rosewood scraps in the shop.
Sorry I could not be more helpful, but wedging the top needs to be done at the design stage, not now. Wedging the back you can do whenever.

Either that, Tony, or invent a new kind of wedge. Maybe call it the Rube Goldberg wedge?
Actually I do have rosewood around that I am going to fit in there.
Thanks.

A Rube Goldberg wedge would be cool to see!
Since it is the top, but unfortunately the bass side which will be staring the player in the face all of the time, your best bet is a graft, and then do an inlay on it. Yeah, like, of the owners name! Then they will think you are the man!

I agree with Tony. Make it a feature if you can't eliminate it. How about a mini sound port? ;')
