Careful! Liquid C/A can cause no end of problems; think of the 'Sorcerer's Apprentice' cartoon. I've found gelled C/A to be safest to use where it can be applied and smoothed before parts are joined. I have never used this on fretwork, but I can see where it might be a controllable glue if dry runs and test fits are done before breaking out the glue tube. Prepare to go very slowly and deliberately.

Just a tiny tiny drop (whip tips) under the end and clamp it. Tip it towards you so it doesn't run up under and into the slot area. Hit it with accelerator and go to the next one.
