Touching up edges and corners

I've just done initial polishing of my two first builds and have discovered some places where, despite great care in sanding, some of the finish has been sanded through on the edges. The finish is Bright Tone, a water borne finish which I sprayed on (more about it soon in another thread I started for it). I don't have a touch up sprayer or airbrush. For touch up I am thinking about wiping layers of finish on the affected areas with a cloth or brushing it on bit by bit until I can blend it in with the rest of the finish, which has been sanded to 12000 grit with Micro-Mesh. I also have Menzerna compounds and polish I was planning to use on the finish anyway after the Micro-Mesh. Are there better ideas?

touch up
you want to be careful when your leveling off at the corners. I usually soften the corners before I spray then as I am leveling I work around the edges and come into the body . I always use a soft block so I don't get too aggressive also when buffing never push a corner into the wheel

it is all about learning so yes touch up and move on I am sure you will learn a lot more till your done

The edges are always a problem. I usually spray the edges of the body and neck, especially the headstock, first when I'm doing a coat and then spray the rest of the instrument. Essentially that double coats the edges. Still, as John says, go easy on the edges with the sanding or buffing. I also frequently have used your idea of lightly wiping on finish on the affected area. That works.
