Good videos. I like watching the mostly real time videos where you can see just how much you have to fuss to get the joint correct.

One issue I have had is using a chisel or plane around the heel cap. I have finally learned that I can not chisel out toward the heel cap or I will blowing it out. The problem is there are times that that direction is the way I want to chisel to get that angle the way I want it.

I have used a few different strategies to deal with the above issue. I was wondering what consideration if any you give to the heel cap when chiseling on the heel cheeks.

Like anything else , there is a learning curve to it. Once you master how to shear cut with the chisel your on your way.
