What brand fish glue is this?

FYI, Lee Valley Fish Glue is supposed to be supplied by Norlands. That is what I use and it's a great product. 1/2 Litre should do 4 or 5 guitars and costs $10.95 (without shipping). It's available here:

What jobs are you using fish glue for and what are it's advantages over titebond, etc.

There are 3 big factors , It dries harder than Tite Bond , no creep and it is a glue that can reamalgamate , that means you don't have to clean it all out to reglue. Unlike tite bone.

Attaching tops and backs, lining, tail and neck blocks, bracing. Anything that takes longer than the open time of Titebond, will need future replacing or repositioning (it reactivates) and something I would leave clamped overnight. Easy cleanup, easy to remove or reposition with a heat/steam, dries very hard, no smell, lasts forever in the fridge.

You can order direct from Norland. That is what I did. I think I paid ~$30 for a gallon.

Yes it is $30 a gallon plus shipping. Not every one will use a gallon .
It takes about 2 oz for a guitar.
For those that do want to order a gallon or 5 gallons you can order direct they have a website .

I've used it for near everything except gluing the fretboard (and you can use it for that).......joining top/back, gluing braces to the top/back, gluing lining to the top/back, gluing top/back to the rim assembly, gluing the neck/tail blocks to the rim, glueing the headtock veneer to the neck, gluing the bridge, etc. Didn't use it for ivaroid or plastic binding or the fretboard but most everything else. I think of it as HHG without the heat and with a longer open time so less stressful. I store mine in the refrigerator when not in use and place it in hot water in the sink to warm it before use.

I tried glueing fish together last night with LMI glue and it didn't work. Should I remove the scales first?
I might have to try some of this fish glue.

start at the tail and work to the gills , that may work best
