A bit more done.
I cut the F holes and made and installed a "bass bar" and am getting ready to glue the back and then top to the rims.
Also a pic of a trial run clamping the back.

Coming along, great looking. Have you ever watched a PBS doc called "The Great Violin Mystery?" It covers some interesting ideas on what makes a violin do what it does.

Body is basically done glued together and the overhangs rounded.

Most of the waste wood bandsawed away. Just about ready to tackle the scary part......THE SCROLL!

I've started carving the scrolls. This is not too difficult but for me it's been hard to visualize the turns and such.
Looking at lots of pictures of scrolls.
Next is to carve reliefs in the turns to give a dimensional effect. Wish me luck!
