The unveiling!
This violin is now finished. I let the finish cure good, over 2 months. 4 days ago I wet sanded and rubbed it out.
I think it turned out just fine. On the next one I'll try and put less finish on while still trying to get a deep color.

My previous #3 probably came out better in the precision fit area. I've got to work on that. But I'm happy with how it looks and sounds....well it hasn't really been played just my bowing the tuned strings....it seems to be very resonant and projects like crazy. Can't wait to have it played by a real player.

Since I'd strung it up in the white all I had to do to reassemble is to ream out the peg holes to remove finish in there, and the same for the end pin.

I decided to give this one to my almost 47 year old daughter; the mother of the 3 granddaughters that got the first 3 violins. She is a concert pianist, plays the flute and now wants to learn to play the violin.

She will receive it in April when they all come for their oldest sons college graduation.
