Hi everyone, and thank you.
This was my first guitar show. I was stunned at the invitation.
I was still finishing the guitars the night before in my motel room, and honestly, they still need a couple of tiny things done. The inlay for the headstocks didn't come until the evening before I left. Murphy's law dogged me the entire time.
I brought half my shop with me, and thank Goodness. The saddle was missing from the mahogany OM. I brought saddle and nut blanks "just in case". I ended up cutting a new saddle, sitting over the waste paper basket in my motel room, using my fret remover, needle files, and sandpaper. The funny thing is that when I did a test fit, the action was perfect and the intonation was as good as it could be.
My guitars were played by a lot of people, who seemed to truly enjoy them. One person has fallen in love with one, and has made arrangements to buy her. I got to meet and place faces with folks I've dealt with on the internet.
I was the definite newbie, surrounded by beautifully executed instruments. I learned a lot and I even helped a couple of folks with French polishing questions. It was a busy day. I was very nervous, being around accomplished luthiers. But, I'm so glad I went. I gained confidence that I lacked, from attending the event.
Below are a few photos. I didn't take many photos, because I was so busy talking with people.
