Is that going to be a D45?
What width is that pearl on the board?

Love the classic torch inlay. I have plans to build 12 fret 000 and would love to attempt an inlay like that. Looks great!

this will be a 42 . We just did a video on how to cut and inlay this very design. It will be on you tube soon. I like this design myself.

I don't know a lot about the original Martin options but my personal favourite is snowflake inlays and the torch headstock, which is what I plan to do with my 12 fret. Looking forward to the video!

Well more pearl work done. I got the headstock and top rim all bordered with pearl. This is not easy but well worth the time. This is the end result of about 8 hrs work. this is the headstock

Here is the top, you have to start at the extension.
with this being wood I often set the wood then drop in the purfling allow the glue to dry pull the poly strip and drop in the pearl.

Once the extension is set I can do the rim. I did the wood first , then dropped in the purfling and poly. I miter the joints pull the poly and drop in the pearl.
