Nice work Dave!
Do you have any in-progress pics?
Are you happy with the final result? Good playability? Sound?

Sweet, did you use a vintage toner for the top?

I'm real happy with it; it has a nice mellow sound for fingerstyle work and the neck has a nice feel. I used shellac as a finish; two coats of 1 1/2 lb. cut orange on the whole thing to give it that aged color, then four coats of 1 1/2 lb. cut blonde on the top, six coats on the sides, back and neck. I rubbed it out with Behlens Deluxing compound, then buffed it to a moderate gloss, and took the back of the neck down to a satin finish with 0000 steel wool.

Nice guitar. I really like the fingerboard and the headstock bindings. Nice work on all of the inlays.

Very nice. It really does have that aged look. Did you spray or brush the shellac? The torch inlay on the headstock looks very clean. Great job!

Thanks. It's a brushed on finish.

Nice Job! I haven't tried a guitar in all shellac yet...I have a bunch that I just haven't tried yet. Might be a good winter finish, as I can do it in the house....;)

Looks great! I really like the top purfling; very classy! Is that an oversized sound hole, or is it just my eyes?
I just ofered a OM kit from John @ Blues Creek and can't wait to get started. I'll keep the forum posted.
