This isn't really a kit build (although I did use a roughly pre-carved neck), but a lot of the methods that were used I learned through this forum, so I think it's appropriate to post it here. This was built using the OLF OM plans. I built it as a gift for my brother, who has shared with me a lifelong interest in playing the guitar. He just had a knee replaced this week, so he should have ample time to break it in!
The details:
EIR back and sides
Carpathian spruce top
High curl koa bindings
B-W-bloodwood-W-B purflings
B-W-B side purflings
Maple burl rosette, heel cap, tail wedge, and headplate
Rosewood fingerboard, bridge, and bridge pins
Honduran mahogany neck
Gotoh SS tuners
Finished with EM6000 over a Zpoxy fill
Thanks for looking.
John
