Peruvian Walnut/Redwood L-OO

Post by darren »

Strung this one up a few nights ago - sounds really sweet and the short scale/small body is really comfortable - my OMs feel huge now!

I'm heading out of town but will take some better 'detail' photos next week. Maybe I'll get a backdrop like Tony!

Special thanks to KenC for telling me to suck it up and refinish a few spots, when I was ready to throw in the towel.

So, my big brother was playing guitar and I figured I'd try it too.

Great looking guitar! I like the smaller guitars as well.

Beautiful! Love the redwood top and walnut is a personal favorite of mine...even if it is foreign! Really great work! You did the right thing refinishing the spots that needed it. Better to spend a few extra days to get it right than spend the next 20 years thinking about what it should have looked like!

Nice! I like how it's a take off a gibson thing but doesn't seem gibson-y. really nice job.

Darren,
That guitar is subtley georgous! Great execution.
You know my next commission build is walnut and redwood, OM. I'm excited to hear the combination.
Thanks for sharing your work, you did good.
