Well she is done.
A classical, my 4th built off the same plans some German builder from the 60's. I'll have to look up his name, can't remember it.
Back and sides are East Indian Rosewood. Top is Sitka spruce. Neck is Spanish cedar. Fretboard and bridge are Indian rosewood. Binding is maple. Tuners are Golden Gate lower end quality. Finish is wiped on Tru Oil.
I knocked the finish down with 0000 steel wool because the Shiney just didn't look even and flat especially on the top.
I'm not crazy about the steel wool finish either but I think it's better. I did the last classical that way too.
I got the action real close on the first try and got it just right I think on the second try. I just know that top is going to rise in India once it's there and that action will go up, but there is extra saddle height left so it can be brought down by some Indian technician 🤣The case is by Crossrock. Pretty nice first time I tried one. it won't look that good for long I imagine.
I put fairly inexpensive tuners on since it's a 10 year old player receiving the guitar.
I believe the sound is nice. Pretty good projection. Intonation is good. I think it does sound like a classical guitar.
Abby will receive it in 6 days. They just landed in the US an hour ago.
Now some final pics. Thanks for looking now on to completing number 22.
